Emmanuel International is a Christian mission agency working in several countries, particularly in Africa, helping to meet the spiritual and physical needs of the local people. In 1999, I was asked to film a water project in Tanzania and refugee work in N.W. Uganda. At the same time, The Tigers Club - now Retrak - an affiliated charity working with street children in Kampala, requested a promotional video, which helped to raise the profile of this go-ahead organisation.

Following the success of these projects, I was asked to make a number of further programmes in Africa.

The Valley of Hope engaged my services in 2007 to film work done amongst substance misusers in South Wales. I was asked to make a return visit in 2008 to track the progress of this demanding work.

International Miners' Mission  I first went out to Romania in 2000 to film the work among the coal miners. The first film title was called Piercing the Darkness.  10 years on I returned and under the title Piercing the Darkness 2 showed how the situation there had become even more challenging because of pit closures and redundancies

I also made 2 visits to Ethiopia in 2006 and 2014 with IMM to visit artisanal miners panning for gold and to film the very dangerous conditions they work in. A further 2 films were produced:  Going for Gold and Not for Earthly Gold showing how many are responding to the call of Jesus to find heavenly treasure.

Since then I have edited a number of other programmes for the mission, including a short promotional one that was shown at Spring Harvest 2017.

JFT Video Productions has been providing quality promotional movies since 1998. Initially projects undertaken were in VHS format. Now DVD, Blu-ray or web postings for maximum exposure are the main focus of what I offer.

My aim is primarily to serve the charitable sector, with world-wide Christian mission a key element, but from time to time I support business clients with their needs. I believe the best way to achieve this goal is to deliver attractive, informative productions at a competitive price.

Jeremy Thornton has served as JFT Video Productions’ Director since its foundation and satisfaction with the work I have done has meant that I have had repeated demands for new projects from the same clients.

Past Projects
Brentwood School, a prestigious Public School in Essex, awarded me the contract to film a promotional video designed for all pupils who had been accepted to enter the school.

It provided prospective pupils with all the practical information they needed to help them experience a smooth transition from Junior School. The existing first year pupils were the actors and this made compelling watching.

A year later, following the success of the first video, I was asked to make a similar promotional video for Sixth Form entrants. Whilst filming for this, I obtained footage for a third programme, which was launched later that year, designed for advertising boarding at the school. Copies were sent to many prospective candidates in the UK and overseas, especially in the Far East.
